Aluminum cut to 45 degree angles and put in corners ? You still only have aluminum holding aluminum. And your still only using 9/16" tec screws - screwed into aluminum Butt the roof is .032 aluminum that's held in with 2 or 3 9/16" tec screws at each end if your lucky. When the right wind hits it - it's blowing away - sorry but it's only an aluminum patio cover. If concrete walls ,steel towers, 100 year old Oak trees and concrete electric poles blow over , bend and break , what chance does an aluminum patio cover have ? If you succeed in stiffening it it will only blow off in 1 piece. |
