Stucco can be textured in a variety of ways as well as painted any color you want. A combination of the two might serve you well. Are you talking about the 2-4 feet from the ground to the siding line all around the perimeter or are you talking about all the wall above that line to the roof. If so, I suppose you could even choose to put wood or vinyl siding up but it sounds like you would need furring strips to nail to first. What is the predominant style in the neighborhood?
