Thoroseal would be a good choice. http://www.chemrex.com/productcatalog/detailpage.asp It's a cement-based waterproofing coating, mixed up like plaster and applied to a damp surface. The little bit of moisture in the chimney "cap" won't affect the adhesion of the Thorseal. It comes in white and grey, but you could tint it with some concrete colorant or dye. The top edge should be sealed to the flues with a suitable caulk. R . |
