They live in a detached 1500 sq ft house with a yard rather than a fifth-floor walkup with 800 sq ft. They can pick from the entire library of films since 1900 for cheap. They've got washing machines and refrigerators. They don't have to live like 1948 Britain. Who knows, maybe they like their granite countertops. Both my brother's houses have 'em. They look pretty sharp. . |
