For a quick fix, I would get some 1/4" by 6" Quick bolts. http://im.edirectory.co.uk/products/1629/i/18199.jpg These will fit through the slots in the Symon Forms. Drill a 1/4" hole in the footer every foot where the door/windows are and every 4'-6' where there are no doors/windows. Pound the bolts into the concrete and tighten them. If you used a 2X4 plate/shoe under the forms, you mught want to drill through the wood with a regular drill before you use a carbide bit to drill the concrete. When you pour it, pour about 2' lift of concrete all around the complete form and then come back with another 2' lift. Keep doing this untill the form is full. I would assume you are using a concrete vibrator. When you pour the first 2 foot lift, run the vibrator all the way to the bottom. When you pour the second 2 foot lift only go into the concrete 3' Same with all the lifts, only go 6" or so past the new concrete |
