Hi Fritz, Rudy, rj, and others Some people, like you guys, get it; others don't, I guess. Thanks to everybody who posted about how high land prices are, "price bubble" notwithstanding. We are not millionaires, we are sacrifing alot to buy this land. Also, we got a "land loan." We certainly don't have $249,900 lying around. After we bought our lot, the remaining lot prices went up to $279,900. Of course, we hope the prices stay up there, but one never knows. If the prices do stay up, or even near there, that means we already made $30,000. And we haven't even "closed" on the land yet. It's funny how Florida has always been a rip-off: people bought land that was under water, typhoid was rampant, hurricanes seem to destroy everything every few years: all these things are true . . . yet the home and land values keep going up.
