Hi All, I'm using a chainsaw to clear some heavy overgrowth on a building site. I bought one of the Husqvarna hard hats with the protective face cover and ear protectors. It worked great for a few days, then the square mounting slots in the helmet (where the faceshield and hearing protectors mount) cracked open. I could not keep the face shield assembly securely mounted. I went to a home super store and saw that the standard hardhat was the same dimensions and had the same mounting slots as the husky-brand helmet. I bought one and mounted the face shield and hearing protectors and went back to work. For a few days anyway. The mounting slots on the new hard-hat broke out just like the husky hard hat. The face shield and ear protectors work great and appear to be well constructed but it appears that the hard hats aren't built strong enough for this accessory. I can't justify continuing to buy poor quality hard hats. |
