Staggered 2x4 stud walls (one every 16in on each side of a 2x6 sill and bottom plate so that there is no continuous stud between the drywall on each side of the wall), Double layer of drywall on the Family room side (adds mass), caulk all electrical openings (sound loves openings), and put fiberglass insulation in the stud space (mutes middle frequencies). That's the lowest noise transmission for the buck that I know...unless you can do a masonry wall between!
