I put down cork in my MBR and hallways and we love it. Planks roughly 1' X 3' with finished cork on top, mdf or hdf in the middle and unfnished cork on bottom. Laid on top of a foam vapor/sound barrier. Glueless. I suspect, but could not prove, that placing cabinets and toilets on top of (my) cork would not be good. It would be easy to fit around these things. Although I've not had a problem with separation, I'd apply a little glue to each joint if I did it over again. Cork is tough, beautiful, quiet and warm in winter/cool in summer. And hypoallergenic. YMMV.
