So answer me this - how does a builder get a "permanent" alarm system to work when the phone line has not been ordered yet? The reason that I am designing this as a cellular system is that I am assuming that the phone line will not be ordered until the house has closed and the new owner orders it. If I am wrong, please let me know, because you are right about the cost - the cellular card adds a lot to the cost and I am not opposed to selling a cheaper system that works with a land line.
