I liked all the ideas! I had thought leaving the posts and creating something useful or attractive with them seeing as they do provide a solid foundation, but seeing as this used to be a dog kennel the area is rather small. A typical fire fire would fit, but it would be a tight squeeze and you'd be standing right next to it in order to gather around it. Plus - plan on leaving and everyone might have to shift :). Too much alcohol and whack! watch out for that post. :) I'll probably get just a couple of chairs and side tables in there, but thats about it. Any ideas for how to keep the exposed part of the cut off post from rusting or creating an issue? I was thinking something like Rustoleum and perhaps their grey will blend it in with the concrete.
