Not only can humidifiers be mold spreaders, they are also potential sources of corrosion damage to the heating system. They have to be maintained. And if you get one, be sure it's entirely stainless steel, and that its installation has overflow protection and drains that are also stainless. By the way, did you ever think of decorating with plants?
