In the perfect world of code officials and spec writers the forms stay on for 7 days and the waterproofing goes on in 28 days. A crew of 7 stands around in between spraying the concrete with water to keep it hydrated. In the real world of daily interest payments, weather, and payroll the forms get stripped the day after the pour and the waterproofing guys are bumping into the form guys on their way out. It is done all the time. Some of the more frantic builders will backfill prior to 7 days, but this is downright stupid. You will be fine going 20 days, or even 7.
