Brick window jambs

Most brick techical bulletins advise a 1" min airspace between brick and sheathing. That's fine and that's the way I want it. Problem is, I'm drawing this section on CAD and when I insert a window jamb section provided by the manuf., there is very little (1/4" or less) overlap between the brick mould/frame and the back face of the brick. Is this standard? Doesn't look like you could get an adequate caulk joint here. I seems like the brick mould should be further toward the face of the brick. Am i missing something here? . |
