I'd dig out the channel til I could put in drainpipe..since its curved, you'll find a type at HD/Lowes thats black flexible..its called Big "O" pipe around here. Otherwise, I d use the 3" white rigid drainpipe. If you can get a series of straight runs out of it..you could use the white stuff with 45 degree elbows. Then you cover it with landscape fabric (to keep the mud/soil from getting into the pipe over time and causing a blockage) then cover it with crushed/drainrock. Another process, as in septic fields uses the gravel first, then covering the gravel with layers of newsprint. After that you can pour your slab. From your measurements, it seems that the 12' slab will cover part of the pipe, and part (14') will be out in the open > There is an obvious drainage channel running in > a half-cirle about 14 feet from the back of the house and it feeds out > to the left and right of the house, down the sides and to the front of |
