Perfectly feasible to do. You need a minimum of 2" Styrofoam SM under the concrete to provide 'resistance to all the heat in the slab just being conducted down into the ground (or the existing concrete if doing an over-pour). The radiant tubing should located no deeper than 2.5" from the top of the concrete in order to allow the surface to heat quickly with the minimum energy consumption possible. |
