Obviously the codes are different for residential. I do know there is a hell of a lot more pressure and flow in a sprinkler pipe than for water supply. It was coming out of there at a hell of a rate. When I finally saw it I'd have guessed the pressure had dropped, but was still spewing about five feet out of the hole. >Why didn't anyone there know how to shut the water off ? It was a brand new building. If it had been water supply it would have been no problem. My guess would be that they don't make it easy to defeat these systems. |
