Oh I see. Maybe temporarily building a dam to prevent sepage while diging your pond. Then doing as you said dig a "well" and pump from there. I would make sure to have some kind of heavy rock lining (rip raf) to prevent erosion where the water flows. I know what you are talking about, I live In Bradenton and build water and sewer plants, pumps, wells, and piping.
