I see what you are saying, but that point is a matter of opinion. The important point was check their professional background out. Keep in mind some of the best contractors arn't always licensed contractors. If you are looking for value and high quality (depending on the scale of the project) the best place to look is at someone who works as a construction professional or journeylevel tradesman. They may not have government records, but usually have references. Some employers don't endorse this practice so contactin the employer may or may not be an option. BUT MY POINT IS CHECK THEM OUT Make sure you have a contract which you prepare yourself. You never want to sign their contract unless you clearly understand what it means and it addresses all of your needs. If it does not ask them for an amendment to the contract to meet your needs. Special Points to be concerned are: 1 Who takes care of permiting, fees, and inspections required? |
