We ve built 2 homes that are similar to what you're looking at. 1988 we used 2X6 24" oc R-20 with the OSB, 30# building paper and 1" Blue styro T&G board (R-5)over top. This was a "southwest style" home in AZ which had wire and a 3 coat stucco job applied. The styro is a good way to try and prevent stucco cracks in the extreme environment of AZ..temperature swings from 22 oF winter to ~135 oF wall temp in Summer. Thats the way they did it "down there". Two Heat pumps for heating and cooling This one (2004 in BC) is 2X6 24" oc R20 OSB, 30# (no styrofoam) and wire with 3 coat stucco. Heat pump here also.
