Well it WAS a break in the underground cable. New run of 10/3 solved the problem. Now to bury the cable in conduit or not is the question. Jeff, Just saving a couple of pennies is all. 2 30amp legs is more than I'll need in the shed. I have one 220v 15 amp table saw, a 20amp air compressor, a 110v lathe that draws less than 15 amps, a bench top drill press, a miter saw that draws 15 amps, and my lights. I'll never use more than 1 major tool at a time nor will I use more than 1 hand held power tool at a time so i figured out the total amperage that could possibly be used simultaneously and based the cable size from there. 2 30amp legs at the subpanel will be more than I need for just about anything. I dont expect to have a workcrew in there. When I opened up the wall to feed my new cables into the main panel I also ran 10 feet of 4/3 from inside the panel down to my crawl space that is not |
