I'm guessing.. is this a stainless steel sink ? Our cast iron sinks weight was enough to hold it down. I just ran a bead of silicone around where the sink was to rest, then dropped it in. The weight held it down til the silicone set up. R >I just made a new tiled kitchen sink countertop - 5/8 ply base with 1/2 > inch cement/backerboard and then the tile. > Job done, I lowered the sink and connected the drain - all well. > But...............the scew type clamp/bolts that hook over the little > 'hoops' on the side of the sink (7 of them) and tighten the sink to the > counter bottom can no longer work as the counter is now too thick and the > 'hoops' are too far up tight against the counter bottom..
