I guess I'm just stupid. It depends on what advice you are looking for. If you are looking for how to do a compound miter, then I'd definitely ask the carpenter. If you are looking for a structural analysis, then you're better off with an engineer. It isn't that one is better than the other, it is that each knows certain things that the other doesn't. If you ask the wrong one for the problem at hand, then, yes, that would be stupid. Matt . |
