OK, I got more info and, unfortunately, it ain't good from the viewpoint of the church... :( Turns out the building committee kicked the architectural firm off and gave the drawings to the eventual builder who bid a turn-key package to meet the supplied requirements. This was still over their budget so they started cutting costs--the most significant of which was to remove site preparation/engineering responsibility from the builder. Now, that was |
