good quality screens

Hi All, I'm looking for some quality window screens. The screens I buy today at my glass supply place barely last 1 or 2 years in my rentals. These screens are not cheap - they are standard quality and cost about twenty bucks for a 20 x 30 screen. Interestingly, I've got some rentals that were originally built in the 1940's - I've had them 25 years and the original screens are bullet proof. These screens have heavy steel frames that do not bend and a steel wire insert to lock the metal screen in place. This is the type of thing I'm looking for. I could pay 3 times the price of today's junk screens and still come out ahead. Any sources for high quality stuff really appreciated...... Andrew . |
