It appears that <probably> the request to the engineering firm for a soil sample was just a verbal 'good ol' boy' askin' another to come take a sample and send it off...and under those circumstances, I can understand the firm not undertaking to produce and actual certifiable report. I've yet to go back to the builder or them to see what information I can get from either. I wanted the building committee chairman to go back and see if there was any chance he could dig up any record of what was actually requested, etc., first, and need to talk to the lawyer types for guidance before actually contacting the builder for such info I suspect, just to cover my proverbial appendage in case it ever were to come to that (which I doubt).
