I agree with the info above, although consider the chances of the SIM fluid leaking first into the boiler fluid through the Boiler/SIM heat exchanger and then once again into the DHW via the Boiler/DHW exchanger – anything is possible but it would be very very slim. Since high pressure goes to low pressure, the SIM fluid would have to be at a higher pressure in order for it to leak into the boiler fluid - but even it it were it would quickly reach a balance with the boiler system. But lets say some of the SIM fluid managed to get into the boiler circuit and then assume the heat exchanger between the domestic and boiler failed - once again high pressure goes to low pressure and domestic systems usually run between 2 to 3 times the operating pressure of a residential boiler system so what would likely happen is the boiler relief valve would blow off as the pressure from the |
