Structural/forensic engineer in Chicago?

Hi, I'm looking for a reputable engineer/firm in Chicago. See my post below for a background to our situation. Seller has now agreed to pay for an engineer _of_our_choosing_ to inspect building. We have no obligation towards seller, since we exercised the right to void our contract. At issue is whether there is ongoing structural movement, whether the cracks in the mortar took on water and, if so, the damage that might have caused. I'm guessing the engineer will write a report and suggest a remedy. We will then take that report to a contractor and have an estimate written. We will adjust our offer based on the $ amount of this estimate, give or take (although probably the latter!). Does that make sense to anyone? Is it too simplistic a scenario? Should we even bother?
