Hi, Here is the situation. My Girlfriend and I want to buy a house and land package, $270,000 We have enough income to service it but have no deposit and I have a default on my credit rating that was paid only 3 months ago, we have been paying rent for the pas year and have not saved up a deposit. I was thinking of getting my farther to purchase this package, he does not have an available deposit but has over $600,000 in equity and is able to service the loan. We were thinking that maybe I could live in the house and then pay my farther directly for the repayments and then in 5 years time I could buy the house or transfer the loan and title when my credit rating is fixed? Is this possible to do? or will my farther have to pay capital gains tax and will I have to pay FBT ? Is this a good way to do it? Should I put a caveat on the property and will this help? |
