Taxi cab fare with metered cabs was more than 40 euro from FCO to Vatican. Taxi,mister...can be "hammered down", but it's still too high. If you want to save a few bucks, take the train (an experience in itself ) to Termini. Then, grab a bus to your hotel. The buses go everywhere and are cheap. Even a metered cab from Termini to the hotel isn't too bad, since by then you're close in too "centro" city center. Get used too walking. Walking is what you do when in Rome. What a place ! 4 days minimum. Luigi . |
