Thanks for the bmi link. I read the press release and looked at the bmi website. I couldn't find any Canary destinations on their current timetable (either flybmi or bmibaby). Perhaps they started and then gave up? They should be showing winter flights on their timetable by now? I was told that the coach takes about an hour from Tenerife South to Santa Cruz. I guess it would go along the South East coast (the TF1?). Michelin says the distance is about 62 km, which would be about right? If so, then changing planes in mainland Spain would be less attractive. It's not a huge island. (I realise it's not small either). And the other links I've been given show an awful lot of flights from UK to Tenerife South, including my most convenient airport, Stansted. Incidentally, is (as a seperate part of the holiday from the carnival) visiting the Teide area, perhaps the parador, reasonable in |
