I presume there's something like it in Glasgow. There's a lot to see and do in and around both cities, there's not much in it. It's much easier to get to the mountains from Glasgow, if your kind of walking goes up to 3000 feet (get the Scottish Mountaineering Club's book "the Munros" for a list) - a lot of the Munros in the southern Highlands are accessible as a day trip by train from Glasgow. |
