But I disagree about most of the others, people value caviar, foie gras and truffles because they taste exceptionally good and interesting, although there will always be those who choose them on status as there will always be slow timid drivers who choose to drive sports cars for no logical reason. Kobe beef seems rather expensive for what it is, but rarity isnt the issue as far as I can see, if more people wanted it at the price I assume they would grow more?
