Hanza hotel is an excellent choice to explore the old town of Gdansk but many tourists prefer to stay in Sopot - relaxing and nice place also a good base to go (by taxi?) to the old town. From the Gdansk airport take one of the licensed taxi cabs (CITY PLUS HALLO company) only. First agree the price, it should normally cost you some 50 zlotys (about 16- 18,- euro). Restaurants ? Ignore "At the salmon" + "Tawerna " , overrated restaurants in the old town. Better choice is "U Kubickiego", river front, pre-war Gdansk |
