Whether it is the United Negro College Fund or the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the terms used are a *name*, not a reference to people (even though that clearly *is* where the name originated). This is very much the same as arguing that Native American means a combination of your favorite definition for "native" combined with your choice of definitions for "American". Nice try, but |
