There are ironclad constraints on how many disabled people you can safely carry if you want to be able to evacuate the aircraft quickly enough in the event of an emergency. It has long been an unpublicized but standard rule that disabled people are the last to be evacuated in emergencies. The simple reason for this is that any disability may slow the evacuation, and it makes more sense to sacrifice one disabled passenger than to sacrifice ten |
