Hmm. Any faith I might have had in (non specialist) doctors' knowledge about medical conditions and flying has been somewhat undermined recently. A relative had a heart by-pass operation while in France. When we asked the doctor at the hospital when he could fly he was quite blase, and said he could fly as soon as he was discharged from hospital. But when I talked to the medical clearance people at BA (who were quite willing to take him with a doctor's certificate), it was clear that it would be safer to wait at least a couple more weeks, and |
