Following up to chancellor of the duchy of besses o' th' barn and prestwich tesco 24h offy >Did you try it at all? There was another fish restaurant not >that far away which looked good too- perhaps a bit more upscale. Prices >at El Chispa were low- I think a whole seabass was 8 euro. we did find a place not over touristed, sort of east out of the central bit on a quiet road, the waiter apologised for thinking we were German and then asked us to coach him on saying words like "horse" in English, nice bloke, cant remember the name. This is going to sound bizarre, but we like quiet beaches and we searched further and further from Nerja until we found what we wanted at Cabo de Gato, spent rest of holiday commuting to there and eating lunch in San Jose!! We tended to get back after the restaurants were running and had a job getting back to our carpark for restaurant tables. -- Mike Reid |
