Especially in places like the Netherlands or Germany. I usually stay in 2 or 3 star places. Europe is much better for the single traveller than the U.S. is. The single rooms are tiny, but efficient for a single traveller. I just got back from a two-week stay in Berlin in a small single room - It was roughly 20 feet by 8 feet, including a tiny bathroom.
