Hi everyone, To cut to the chase - I've purchased a car here in England that I would like to take over to my holiday home in Southern Ireland and leave there for some of the year. I've phoned some insurance companies up and obviously my No claims doesn't count because it's a second car, plus some only allow you to take it over there for 4 - 6 months of the Year. I'm retired now so it's possible I may leave it over there for longer. Has anyone got any experience of doing this? would I be better of looking at Irish insurers? would I have to get Irish plates for this? any specialist English insurers that cater for this?
