True on your dings, but it's designed as a highly advanced 'point and shoot' not a digital SLR, and works amazing well for that. I researched for about Two Weeks on the net before purchasing; this digital stood head and shoulders above the others and as a user now I couldn't be more pleased... cept' for the ungainly charging/USB adapters; but I was warned in advance!
