Train and Ferry UK to Ireland

Hi All Has anyone used the combined train/ferry tickets from the UK to Eire? Specifically, I'm looking at travelling from London (Euston) to Galway in July next year. I've been reading the details on http://www.seat61.com/Ireland.htm and http://www.sailrail.co.uk but one of the points in the FAQ is a worry: "Q Can I break my rail journey on route to the ferry port? A No breaks of journey are permitted with any SailRail products. They have been priced to give you the best value, this does not include the flexibility to break your journey. Should you break your journey you will be charged standard fare for the journey you have made." As we would be leaving London before 9 am and not arriving in Dublin until 15:25, we would like to stay the night in Dublin before continuing to Galway. I've emailed Stena but not yet had a response. We would be foot passengers with a couple of bags each. Any |
