I'm a kinesthetic learner, so for me seeing it might help a little and hearing it might help a little, but writing it makes a HUGE difference. I make cards, like Barbara, and first I bought some preprinted cards, but if I make my OWN, then I remember the word, sometimes without using the cards. Barbara has the huge, huge advantage that she lives in Italy. I find learning German in Washington DC very challenging because when I walk out the door of the Goethe Institut after class, nothing, except my homework, pulls me back |
