True. However, one does not commit things to memory nearly so fast, as one ages. When I was a young singer, I could memorize a dozen songs, whatever the language - music and lyrics both - on only one "sing-through" - by the time I was thirty it took longer, and now I no longer sing, I'm sure it would take ages to memorize a new role. (And music is easier than vocabulary and grammar, because the tune acts as a mnemonic.) . |
