It's not particularly well connected by public transport, though there is a plan to extend the Docklands Light Railway- even then, that takes you to a particular area of London, just like the Heathrow, Stansted or Gatwick Express services take you to particular areas. When I lived in London, it was far quicker to get to Gatwick from Balham than to City. IOW, it all depends where you live, or need to get to. Besides, London City is limited to relatively few destinations- most not more than a couple of hours flying time away. -- |
