You'll notice that there are 218+ castles and fortresses in Baden-Wurttemberg! Has anyone visited any of these? Can anyone make a recommendation? After going to the page, I didn't find any list of castles in Baden Wuerttemberg, of which I also would be interested. There are some along the Neckar River and along the Schwaebische Alb which I didn't see refered to. I also enjoyed Hohenzollern, and Lichtenstein is another great castle to visit, but only from the mid 1800's, like Hohenzollern and Neuschwanstein. There are also ruins of the old castle, but we couldn't find them. If you visit Lichtenstein, the state-run horse farm at nearby Marbach is also enjoyable to visit. George . |
