We enjoyed Sollier and stayed in the Hotel de porte sollier.(or a similiar name). We took the tourist train from Palma, which is a very enjoyable trip in itself. They have a baggage car, so you do not have to deal with your luggage in a crowded car. As to island tranport, we rented a car for a day and toured / shopped the island. Both the pearl marking town and the leather towns.
