Just a general precaution not related to x-rays: If your hotel room or cruise cabin is very cool, keep the camera wrapped in a towel in the closet. Otherwise if you want to get out early in the morning and it is damp outside. the lens will fog up and may take a long time to clear!! Happened to me on a cruise to Nassau. We were approaching port at about 0630 and it was very muggy when I got out on deck. Needless to say I missed some great approach shots, which I could not get at departure because of time of night that we left.
