It also seems that "format media" is more reliable than "erase pics" and ensures that the media is going to be readable, so I reformat regularly, particularly after I know I've been near strong electromagnetic fields. Modern disk drives are pretty much immune to all but the strongest fields, so I don't worry (much) about them. -- |
