Looking for Feedback on Martinique

My wife and family want desperately to visit Martinique over the christmas holiday, so I'm surfing the web looking for feedback, referrals, etc. Everything I can find looks like a resort sales page, so I'm hoping I can get some info from real people. We would be staying on the island, not hopping past on a cruise. We are American with a teeny bit of French language between the six of us that would be traveling. Any advice would be appreciated. The exchange rate kind of scares me, but we'll ahve to see. We've had great experiences in Belize and the Caymans renting a villa for the family for a week, so everyone is familiar with that. I've heard good things about Club Med, so I'd be interested in hearing about that or any all-inclusives that may be available. Thanks for any info! Tom . |
